You have stumbled across the web site for O'Casey's, the first Irish bar in Second Life dedicated entirely to the written and spoken word.
Located in Dublin Virtually Live, the three sim recreation of Ireland's beloved capital city, O'Casey's is a virtual bar into which live readings are streamed via internet radio.
Named after the Irish playwright Seán O'Casey, the bar features readings, live performances, lectures, poetry, dramatisations and just about every other type of written prose from across the world. O'Casey's showcases the work of published authors from the very beginning of literature to modern day works, and promotes unpublished authors, poets and playwrights through virtual 3D media.

 January: The Master of Modern Noir!
We welcome the new year and our second year of existing with a personal favourite of mine - James Ellroy. For many he is the dark hero of noir fiction... For others he is an unknown name... For those who have never heard of him it is our honour to introduce to you this brilliant author and his unique look on the world. For those who do know him we invite you to come celebrate this brilliant writer's best works.
We also have some Raymond Chandler short stories and an evening revelling in some of the most famous murders of all time; Elwe returns and Saybera brings us another collection of some very dark poems.
Overall it is clear that in January at O'Casey's... Miss Scarlett did it with the candlestick in the kitchen!! Come join us!
