From December 1st until December 18th we got into the festive mood with a wonderful celebration of seasonal writing. Riko Kamachi brought us the atmospheric Winter chapter of the children's classic The Wind in the Willows; however our main event was Safra Nitely, Saybera Drake and Danton Thirroul, between them reading the whole of Dickens' A Christmas Carol - from cover to cover, all five sections brought to life in vivid and wonderful detail! And just think... this time last year we were just opening our doors for the first few preview events... one year old and still going strong!    T H E   M O N T H   T H A T   W A S . . .   Date Time Event Tuesday 1st 3pm Beautiful Stories for Evil Children The Egyptian, Bantu, Hindu and Tibetan creation myths Elwe Eldrich returns for another series of short stories designed to delight the senses and the mind. Elwe continues her series of creation myths from around the world. Friday 4th 3pm Christmas at O'Casey's Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol I Being the first part of this classic book, with a LIVE reading by Danton Thirroul. The miserly Ebenezer Scrooge is visited by the ghost of his long-dead business partner... Tuesday 8th 3pm Christmas at O'Casey's Kenneth Grahame's The Wind in the Willows Riko Kamachi returns to O'Casey's with a seasonal extract from this timeless childhood classic. The snow begins to fall and Mole longs to be in his favourite place in the world... home. Friday 11th 3pm Christmas at O'Casey's Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol II Being the second part of this classic tale, Safra Nitely takes up the story with the arrival of the spirit of Christmas Past... Sunday 13th 3pm Christmas at O'Casey's Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol III Being the third part of this classic tale, Danton Thirroul returns with a LIVE reading of the arrival of the spirit of Christmas Present... Tuesday 15th 3pm Christmas at O'Casey's Charles' Dickens' A Christmas Carol IV Being the fourth part of this classic tale, Danton Thirroul takes up the story with a LIVE reading of the most terrifying and final of all the spirits... Friday 18th 3pm Christmas at O'Casey's Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol V Being the final part of this classic tale, Saybera Drake takes us to the climax of the story in high style with a LIVE reading of the end of this great book!
